A descent budget option if you’re ok with a small room and don’t mind waiting for the elevator
The location in great- in the quieter part of Shinjuku. Also the hotel offers an Onsen which was a great bonus at that price.
The room was extremely small. It wasn’t my first time in Japan so I thought I knew what I was getting into but that was the smallest room I’ve ever received in Japan (or anywhere else in the world). We also received a room in the basement floor which was an unpleasant surprise and added to the claustrophobic feeling. We were in the high season so the hotel was quite packed which meant the Onsen was a bit overcrowded and resulted in long waiting time for the elevator which made us plan our trips out and in the hotel based on trying to guess when it’ll be less crowded.
